11:15pm. Steve arrived today and the guys are floating around in foam chairs sipping cervezas looking out over the water. Crickets. Sounds of the water lapping against the rocks below. Every now and again, the private dock here at the house squeaks--one of the most comforting sounds ever. There's a bus parked across the water on the street. Mark calls it the crazy bus. It drives around town blasting music. People board the bus to dance and drink and be driven around. Flashing lights---in the distance (and probably up close too) it looks like a crazy Christmas bus. Last night it sat parked on the street with music playing until well after midnight, at which point it took off, still blasting music. It is so odd. This evening, while in town, we saw it drive by, and people were all standing, dancing, doing some sort of line dance while, what looked like, dry ice wafted between the passengers. They looked like they were having way too much fun.

Tonight dinner included enchiladas oaxacanias--chicken enchiladas with a mole sauce. I didn't know I liked mole, but I do. Wait, the crazy bus is leaving. hmmm, it's only 11:25pm. They must have a better place to go. Back to our meal...dessert consisted of Crepas Nutella. Crepes with nutella (which oddly enough didn't have the hazelnut flavor that I've tasted before) and helado (ice cream). uhhhh, yum!

I must confess, our days have been incredibly non-descript. Pastries and coffee and juice. Spanish lessons. Swimming. lunch (often while in the pool at the pool bar) and then continued swimming. Occasionally we run an errand (store, bank, chocolate), to feel productive and then back in the pool. By 3:30 we're wiped out and ready for some rest and relaxation. Naptime or reading. 6:00 and ready for more pool time until 7 or 7:30 when we take a cab into town and discover a new restaurant.

Every day, a small boat docks at the private dock below the house and unloads about 100 3-feet long fish (Dorado?). They unload in about 15 minutes and then they're gone.
